I grew up working in a sugar cane field and now work in the salt mine on Avery Island, LA, where the famous Tabasco sauce is made. These are some of the inspirations for my creations of the beauty and culture of Louisiana.

Before I started school, I was "marking" out pictures on paper bags, walls, newspapers and any scrap paper that was available. I received my first paint set, a watercolor set from my Na'nan when I was 12 years old. I did my first oil painting in 1980 and was hooked! I continued to paint for the next few years before taking a break but continued to draw during this time.

I picked it up again in the Spring of 1998 and completed several pieces per year. After a meeting with renowned Amite, LA artist, R. C. Davis in 2005, I found a deeper passion for my art. I now paint every week and enjoy creating pieces that others will enjoy.

- Reclaimed wood frames from old fence boards and cypress I collect in the swamps of Louisiana
- Pen & Ink drawings
